These days everyone is going way overboard with subs. Ya sure it impresses your buddies but adds nothing to the enjoyment of the music. They need to be a PART of the system, not the main element
I agree with the above statement. Fidelity has always been more important to me than sheer volume of bass. Of course with the Corvette, I seem to enjoy the note of the exhaust system over the music coming from the stereo. :steering: Music just seems to get in the way of the rumble ;)

As for having a system that needs to be 20 to 20khz, I doubt any of us can hear outside 30 to 18khz. Our hearing goes as we get older and it starts from both ends. Also, most of us probably have damaged ourselves by listening to a stereo too loud for too long. The good outlook, our butts will always be able to feel a 20 hz note :) espically at 140 db :lol:
