...Are definately in every proper audio install. :yesnod:
I concur. But, while I am waiting for my eD K series sub to come in, its just the CDT classic components and I have to say they are putting out some excellent bass
Not only do you need to hear the music, you need to feel the music! And while your at it, let the guy in the lane next to you feel the music. :D
Subs are nice when they are done right. So many people go WAY overboard it isn't funny.
I don't have a sub in mine because I just can't spare the room. That said I am very happy with my current setup. All I have left to do is swap out my HU and add a Neo Jukebox and I am good to go!
The sub isn't necessary but it sure is nice to have!
Any audio system be it car or home that is striving to acheive High Fidelity
will play flat from 20Hz to 20Khz +/- 1.5Db of course there can be extension
above as well as below the frequencies we can hear.
There are many recordings which do contain sub 20Hz Information (mainly
Pipe Organ music) and if you want to faithfully recreate what's on that disk
you NEED a sub it is just not an option up for debate.
If you don't mind your setup rolling off at 30Hz that's fine.. Just don't call it a
full range system because it ain't!
In a well designed system, subs should fill out your sound stage. That doesn't mean that they should over power anything.
:iagree: :iagree: :iagree:
These days everyone is going way overboard with subs. Ya sure it impresses your buddies but adds nothing to the enjoyment of the music. They need to be a PART of the system, not the main element
