Default Yet another XM question

Found a good deal on Alpine XM receiver with FM modulater. (only $150 new from Crutchfield) On the C5 do I need the FM modulater or will the XM receiver work through the Aux function on radio? Or do I need both? Can someone tell me exactly how it all works? What do I wire from the XM receiver to the factory head unit?

You can use the Aux input, but you will need to get the converter and cable:

TL also sells the CD changer cable if your vette doesn't have one... You still will need the display so that you can change XM stations.

And mount the antenna in the rear facia above the license plate.

Thanks for the reply, the unit I am ordering includes the FM modulater as part of the package, so is there any advantage to one way over the other?
