Heya, got a sub and amp I need to put in and have a question. I have run the large guage wire from the battery to the rear but can't seem to find a good place to ground. Anyone have any ideas? Also as far as a signal, is it better to tap into the rear speaker line level or tap into the RCA's at the head unit? My amp does have line level remote turn on but will the rear speaker line levels give a good signal? Think I heard someone say once that bass doesn't go to the rear speakers or something.

Any help appreciated!
From what I searched, the best place for ground is seat bolt. That's WITHOUT drilling any holes. But if you are willing to do the surgery, the best place is the frame itself.
About the signals... go to the tech tip and read what 99HT wrote, and see what you think. And Still_Single was kinda enough to provide the pins chart w/ description to each pin. Do a search, you should be able to find them. Good luck. By the way, are you using a line output converter?

P.S. I am in the middle of the process adding an amp and a sub to the factory HU and speakers myself.
Best place I found to ground to the frame in a c5 is right below each the rear left and right storage compartments. There are posts, which are welded to the frame. Just put your wire on it and secure with a nut.
Yes, you will have to drill a hole. I attempted to get by without drilling and found it to be frustrating. Also, my amp is up against the rear of the car. I did not want run a ground all the way to the front.
