CDT CL6X ?
Anyone hav experience with the CDT CL6X slim profile speakers? Im looking
to replace the rears in my 99 coupe. I've narrowed it down to a set of these or Infiniti's. Not wanting to spend the big $$$, or do an amp yet, just get SOME sound from the back.

I put a set in the rear of my 02 and love'em! Sound great! I faded to the front approx. 3/4

Anyone running these off a HU power supply. I want to pick up some rear fill but I am not installing another amp just for rear fill. My Alpine puts out 22 wattts rms. :cheers:

Anyone running these off a HU power supply. I want to pick up some rear fill but I am not installing another amp just for rear fill. My Alpine puts out 22 wattts rms. :cheers:

are they direct replacement? I am looking at the CDT speakers too, need to replace those soon, Bose just won't cut it :)

They should drop right in for coupe sizes and buy from thezeb.com Be careful before you buy. CDT's website says that there is a 1/2 off promo on this speaker. It should cost $49.99, but the Zeb's price does not reflect that. Email them and see if you can get a price match.

I will be contacting theZEB today to see if they will give me a credit

I contacted thezeb about the $49 special, and they seemed a little frustrated with CDT because they advertise specials, but don't do direct sales, and don't coordinate them with all of the authorized distributors. They are not selling
them at that price.
This is what CDT had to say!
"It’s up to any of our authorized dealers to purchase items and offer the promos, we cannot force a dealer to anything they do not want to participate in. Dealers do not always participate in specials by a manufacturer, some do some don’t."

I am a happy camper now. It took some time to find the right contact, but they did the right thing, and now have a loyal customer! ( Install tonight .....update tomorrow ) :D

Well.....Installed the CDTs last night.
Many have said that replacing the rear speakers without adding power would not give much improvement. They are correct. These speakers need more power and are not an improvement when run off of the Stock Bose Head Unit.
I put the Bose back in, and will keep these on the shelf for now. When I do a complete upgrade, ( Head unit, Amp, Sub, Front components ) they WILL go back in.
If you have a head unit that puts out 20+ watts/Channel, these would be a nice upgrade, but off the bose head unit.....don't bother. :(
