ALpine XM units
I was getting ready to install an Alpine XM unit, went to Circuit City, and was told all the units had been recalled because of problems. He said they were cutting out for no reason. The sales guy said the one in the showroom even dropped out every once in a while.
Anybody know when the new units are coming out? I was planning on a long trip back east soon. I've got a 7998 and wanted to use my own headunit to run it.

I have an Alpine xm unit, and have no issues... I even have the antenna mounted 'in' the rear facia; to further obstruct the signal. My xm unit is registered and I have not received a recall notice..

I'm installing the Alpine XM tuner in my C5 to a CDA 7998 this weekend. I hope not to have problems.
BTW. I will finally get to see what the HU face plate I got from you looks like in my dash.
