A few weeks ago I blew one of my 12" subs (in my 4X4 Jimmy).
So I got the motivation to dust off my four JL 15W5s and put them in.
I was running a US Acoustics 2150 at 150 watts per channel into the 12"s.
I hooked the 15"s into a single 4 ohm load and hooked it up that way to the amp. I have to say the US Acoustics does not like to be bridged. It is supposed to put out 450 watts mono (not 600) into 4 ohms. Well it went into protection mode a couple of times at high volume. Third time was the charm, she smoked and is is out of commission for good. Thank the Lord I already have a JBL 1200.1 amp on the way to replace it.
If anyone wants the old amp for parts or fixing, it is your for $2 plus shipping.
I'll throw in the blown 12 for free
