The CD changer I recently purchased appears to be non-functional.
When connected to a harness - it makes no noise. When the door is opened - the lights come on: one white, in front, one red inside. When I close the door - there no mechanical motion again.
The magazine is now stuck in there.
Seller said that CD changer worked great b/f he shipped.
What do you think might have gone wrong?
Are these easy to repair? If seller said that it was working just fine - I don't see what could have happened during shipment - the box was intact.
i had the same problem. i am a newbie with a new used vette. after you loaded the magazine and put it in the cd changer, does it make noise and go thru a loading process? i am told you have to wait until it goes thru the cycle before you can turn on the ignition. once i did that, my changer is working with no problems and the magazine pops out. i pried mine out carefully after it was stuck but it hasnt stuck since then.
Yeah I'm the guy who sold him the system. I knew it had to be something crazy going on. That entire system worked perfect an hour before I shipped it; I tested everything. Hope this works for you Peter.
Well, that seems to be a problem - the changer just doesn't do a thing. I don't hear anything going on - it just seats there.
I've tried to slightly push the magazine in, I've tried to pull it out to no avail.

Well I still think it had something to do with shipping. Dropped box or something regardless of the condition of the box it still could've been dropped.
I'm kind of afraid that that might be true. They dropped it flat and shook the bejesus out of it.
