Alpine 7998 over 7897 Headunit?

Alpine 7998 over 7897 Headunit?
I have an Alpine 7897 now. When I first bought it I used the amp
on the HU for my speakers. I now have 3 amps and don't need the
onboard HU amp. I am wondering if anyone with a 7998 would think it is
worth it for me to upgrade from my 7897 ? I like the display of the 7998
a bit better, but are there other usable features that would make the switch worth it ?

Kale, for me it's more for the display and maybe the i-personalize feature.
Do you use that feature on your 7998 ?
No. I'd buy a 7998 over a 7897... but upgrading to it? Nah... that'd be a waste of money.

What could you sell the 7897 for on ebay? If the difference to upgrade is minimal or worth it to you, then do it.
$550. A used one about $450.

no, i-personalize isn't really that great. The display is like all displays... you just ignore it after a while.
Keep the 7997. It's a good head. Hell, you could use the internal amp to run some tweets or something.
