New box finished...:)

Switched from 2.5 cubes sealed with a Qtc of 1.15
The amp is 450 watts rms at 4 ohms.
Before, the bass was strong in the upper ranges, but not very defined and very muddy in the sub-60 hz region. Now, the bass is just as strong in the higher octaves(from 80 to 160) but is much more defined and punchy, and the lower octaves are simply monstruous. Every single drum/cello/whatever that is below 80 hz or so is so powerful and tight it blurs your vision.
The Pirates of the Carribean soundtrack used to be just a rumbling in the background because of all the deep orchestral drums. Now, each drum can be picked out from the cellos, and each drum hit sounds like you are sitting right next to the drum. The fricking steering wheel was shaking, my clothes were shaking...it was the loudest, lowest bass I have ever felt! The thing that suprised me though was how musical it was...it blended perfectly with my Boston components up front(~150 rms per side, but gains pretty low).
I then proceeded to play a sine sweep from 1000 hz to 5 hz...what a mistake! It was so loud that my windows were moving about 1/2 inch in either direction, the steering wheel was hard to hold on to, and it played strongly till the end of the track(dropped off at about 10 hz). I could not see straight. It was simply amazing the difference from the old box to the new.
The only downside is that the box cannot be removed from the car without removing the top panel, since it was too big to clear the rear window with the top panel on. However, I lost only 4 inches of depth in the trunk because my old box was trapezoidal.
I can't imagine how these subs would sound in a optimal box with a Qtc of .707, but I will probobly never hear them in a box like that since they require 4.8 cubes each for that alignment!
Anyway, as everyone can probobly tell, I am overjoyed by my newfound sound quality, along with the very increased spl. :cheers: :cheers: :cheers:
This is me ---> :D :D :D
When I can find my camera I will take some pics tommorrow.

Car in question is a 1990 Chevy Lumina coupe- the thing must have awesome transfer function gains way low for my subs to hit 10 hz pretty hard.
:D :D :D I'm so glad I made this box. :D :D :D

BTW the track announced the transitions between frequencies(thats how I know it was 10 hz or so). :cheers:
