Hey all, I was looking for some advice on how to put 2 10s in the trunk of my pace car. I wanted to do something like a stealth box, but with some pretty fiberglass accents to match the exterior. So the subs sit in the wells and leaves the trunk still "open." Does anyone have pics of something like this? Advice, comments, suggestions... anything?
Here is a pic of my install. Its a fiberglass enclosure in the spare tire hole. The top of the box is below the floor which allows the cover to be flush mounted. I have Soundstrem Tarantula amps so I suggested to my installer that he made a cover that matched. I was pleased with the results. I also have a amp rack finished w/ a painted top to match the exterior of my car, it looks pretty nice, though I dont have pics of it yet.

Re: Installing two 10s (cglasse)
Forum member Mike76002 makes cool sub boxes for dual 10's. I should have my dual 10 box here tomorrow. It fits in the center compartment and then you can put your stock cover on. This is wood, I know you said fiberglass but I thought I would mention this. I checked on a custom fiberglass enclosure for mine that would of had plexi glass with purple neons under it with 2 12" Kove armageddon subs. That was going to be around $1800. So I decided to go Mikes way and just let my 2 800 watt purple neon Splash amps do the glowing!! :seeya

Re: Installing two 10s (85 Stalker)
I'll try to get pics tomorrow, when I hopefuuly get the box. The two amps are mounted right behind each seat with a Hart Hex 80 3 way crossover sitting right behind the waterfall. The 1 farad cap. it located down from the crossover. I just got these sitting in here right now. I will be getting an amp rack made to hide the wiring and to recess the cap. and crossover. I may put the cap. on one side of the corners in the trunk area and be recessed and so forth with the crossover on the other side. The two amps look awesome at night either looking through the front of the car or with the trunk open, such as at car shows. The amps are made by Power Acoustik and they really are good amps. They are called Splash Neon 802. I have a 1102 in my truck(1100 watts). These are discontinued now, but I found a matching one on ebay not too long ago that matched an 802 that I had. I'll try to get some pics posted later of what they look like at night. More pics will follow probably tomorrow!!

Why not a single super 12 instead? Here's a pic of an IDMAX 12 compared to one of the subs he has under that grill:
I havent had a chance to thoroughly test it, mostly b/c my amp keeps going into protection mode (it did this w/ the IDQs as well) so I have to take it back to upgrade the big-3. But the SQ on the w7 and the IDQs is very similar. But Im going to hold off from saying which sounds better until I get a chance to play w/ the w7 a bit more.
