Default Really Important Ques... Grade depends on it!

Well maybe I lied a little, my grade doesn't depnd on it, but It will a little... How good are the Rockford Fosgate Speakers, sub, amps, etc.? Are there any better products out there? If you had an unlimeted budget, what would you get?

Rockford is OK. The amps tend to run hot. The subs dont sound very good, but do get quite loud. The speakers arent impressive. The head units, from my limited experience, are not something I would ever purchase.

On a scale of 1-10, I'd put rockford at about 3.5 on average.

They used to be quite nice.

There are MANY better brands. It would take me a day to remember all of them. At least.

For subs and speakers, What comes to the top of my head,

Image Dynamics
JL Audio
Focal
CDT
Rainbow
Scanspeak
Morel
DLS
DEI
Dynaudio
ADS
Adire Audio

For amps. just a few:
Zapco
PG
ARC
TRU
JL
Hifonics = Arguably better, because they dont run NEARLY as hot as RF amps.

For head units:
Just about everyone.
Clarion, Alpine, and Nakamichi come to mind.

Unlimited budget?

Id have an Alpine head unit. Maybe Nakamichi or Eclipse.
TRU amplifiers
Image Dynamics IDMAX sub (I own one already.)
Rainbow Reference components
The car would have a completely custom interior built for this set up. Which is as important if not more than my component choices!

Too many better brands to list. Lets put it this way. Brands i would buy RF over:

Some MTX
Boss
Crunch
Pyle
Pyramid
Sony
Lightning Audio (Which basically is RF, I believe.)

Well check out my system that is what I would buy. :D

I have a website below the picture Im still working on it so Ill add more pictures later.

I love my amps they never get hot and im running them at 1ohm. Never had a problem with them. I have ran the system hard for hours and the amps will only get a tad warm to the touch.

Subs sound great and are very loud even with the small box I have. I love the Clarion dvd very nice clear picture and easy to use. The MB Quart mids n his sound out of this world very nice!

P.S. If you go to my page and go to the bottom there is a link to more pictures. thx

Lightning Audio is owned by Rockford but that is besides the point. RF makes some of the strongest amps available. The subs are top notch. The mids and highs leave a little to be desired for someone looking for serious SQ but for the money they hold their own. Overall RF is awesome product.

RF used to be an awesome product.

I really dont think there that great anymore. They are still cool but not like they used to be and not like alot of other companies out there. I used to have a RF amp in my truck and it would constinatly cut off because it got too hot!

Thats the sign of a sorry amp to me.

I'm pretty sure you're correct. Since your grade depends on it, take the number and divide it by the square root of 2.

P(rms) = P(peak) / sqrt(2) or you can do a real quick seat of your pants calculation of dividing by 1.5 since sqrt(2) is like 1.4xxx. But if you're a little mathematically challenged like me just use a freakin' calculator.

BTW - rms = root mean square so you can sound intelligent when talkin' to people. It's gotten me pretty far :jester

Actually no, they are one of the first companies to adhear to the CEA 2006 standards, and that is how they rate there amps currently.
