I am very impressed with how it turned out.... I only have pictures of the box, because everyone knows what an 9815 Alpine head unit looks like, and the focals are hidden by the door covers. My car is a 99' FRC and the custom box houses the JL 500/5 that powers all of the speakers including the sub... The sub is a JL 8W7. It sounds VERY good in the car, excellent sound quality!!! Just what I was looking for... One question though, has anyone else had problems with their rear view mirror rattling horribly? The rest of my car is really tight except for that... It hits really hard, but I can't turn it up very much due to the rear view mirror sounding like it is coming apart....
Thanks for the compliments guys!!!! I will try that suggestion for the mirror... The rest of the car is extremely tight for having 70k on it, but just the mirror is giving me problems.....
Dang that video screen looks awesome. I'm still workin on my first attempt at fiberglass for my rear box for my hatch. Itll be an MDF top though so it shouldnt look TOO Bad hah. Seeing all these systems really is inspiring me
Thanks, is still a work in progress. I'm pretty picky, so we are redoing parts of it to flow with the dash lines even better. Getting the grain close has proven to be the hardest thing of all though.
The noce thing about glass is, if you mess up, just put so more on.
As for the 8W7, I've got one going into my ex-cab Silverado SS. 2.2cuft box, tuned to 24hz, with a 500/1. along with the AC epicenter, it should be interesting.
I want to install a new system in my car but I really need some step by steps. I have installed stereos in every car I have but you know how it is when it comes to this baby. I want to change the stereo and all the speakers. I managed to get the amp installed but I don't have a clue as to where to start with the stereo. HELP!
