...not trying to lecture anyone, but just like to share. I had just finished a clean install of my stereo and had grounded my largest amplifier to the B pillar on the passenger side. I had forgot to tighten it down all the way, so then the consequences started happening. The bass amp cut out and started clicking. The passenger seat would click but didnt move. Then I went to fill up gas and the damn fuel door wouldnt open. I tried to find the emergency manual pull lever but I couldnt get into the hatch cause the hatch also wouldnt open. I suspected it was that ground, so I tighttened it and sure enough...everything was well.
PS. I thoroughly cleaned all my battery contacts and I think the car even runs better.
Re: Make sure you tighten your grounds... (eRiCdWoNg)
Sounds strange that an amp's ground would cause so many other functions to no longer work??
As long as each of the other items is still grounded they should be fine.
Maybe it was at the battery terminal??

Strange
Ooops, guess I didnt clarify... the ground point on the B pillar is ground also to a ton of other components. Guess those were the things that were affected.
