Power Antenna wire 1988
Anyone know what color the P/A wire is in a 88? I bought my car and the radio was not in the car. Now I don't know if the antenna works/doesn't work. after applying power to several questionable wires i still don't know if i have found the correct wire. Anyone know the color of the wire behind the head unit? Also the location of the P/A relay in case i need to troubleshoot further?

The antenna relay is located in the LH rear of the cargo compartment on the end panel.
Antenna power to the relay comes directly from the CTSY/CLK Fuse through an Orn wire.
Control power comes from the RADIO Fuse through a Yel wire to the Radio; from the Radio it goes to the antenna relay through a Pnk wire.
So if you locate the Yel & Pnk wires and touch them together, with ignition On, you should see the antenna rise.

thanks 65Z01! I'll check into this when i change my radio out this week. BTW, in case my antenna is bad, how do i go about removing the assembly from the quarter to change it? Luckily i have a known working spare....

If you have long and thin enough arms you can jack up the rear end and go up through the bottom behind the left rear tire.
Then from the inside you remove the carpet above the left rear wheel well.
