I have been out of this audio thing for a few years and now want to get something installed in my car.
So anyway, I have my Solo 10" which I used a Punch 200 to run it and I was happy with that. But now,.... not happy with it anymore.... so am entertaining running two 10"... but can't remember the ohm thing.
Since I was running one Solo, how many ohms is that sub (its enclosed in the sub box, so don't want to take it apart) ? And if I want to run two Solo's they would have to be how many ohm's? Any way of wiring my Solo to run with another one correctly (I know the ohm thing is an issue, just can't remember the details ) ?
Re: 2 ohm vs 4 ohm sub question (vetterlatethannever)
it depends on the way the speaker is because if you have one speaker which is 4ohm if you get another one you may run them parallel and you will get a 2ohm load on one channel. Or you may wire it from positive to negative and get an 8 ohm load. A two ohm should sound louder less resistance. Or get one with dual voice coil. Yuo can do the same as above with one dual voice coils.
