C5 Sound system upgrade
Want to upgrade. Don't know where to start. I want to replace all speakers add amp, and sub. Want to know what brand people are having a good luck with and what sizes fit where. It doesn't have to be insane but better than the bose system. Bty I have a 99 Vert.

Man are you about to open a can of worms...lol. Brands to pick from...well that really comes down to who you talk to. There is alot of good equipment on the market and it really comes down to what you pay for it. Personal preferance has alot to do with equipment choice. I do recommend staying away from off brand stuff....stuff that looks really good but is really cheap. If you are on a budget every major manufacture has entry level lines. I personally like JL Audio subs and amps,Pioneer source units,Rockford products,Kicker,MB Quart and Focal speakers, and Phoenix Gold.
If you are going to add amps and change out speakers you are MUCH better off swapping your head unit also. Can not stress that enough. For speakers..you can fit anything you want in the doors. An 8" and 4" will go in there with no problem. C5 doors are some of the best for speaker options I have ever seen. Rear speakers I believe are a 5.25 but could be wrong. Good luck with your system.
By the way...what are you a black belt in?
