Default Head Unit won't fit;need help

I have a JVC head unit along with a Metra Install kit that will not fit in my '91. It is the type that has a pocket with it to fill up the large space occupied previously by the Bose. I could make it fit by cutting the plastic wall out in the back but I don't really want to. I do want an XM capable head unit and I was looking at the GM size (DIN and a half?) Pioneer that has the capability I need. Does it fit without cutting? Anyone have this in their 91-96?

'90 is also the same, and DIN and a half's look like crap IMO, there are some good install kits floating around here somewhere, try looking in the CF mall but I am not sure. Also I think you can call Sound Off Audio for one, look for the number on their site. www.soundoffaudio.com

you have to cut the back out, inside the dash. If not, you can't push the HU back far enough. Not really a big deal though.
