Default Subs in a C4

Ok, I think I want to do something totally outragous. I want to keep my rear compartment and have more than 1 sub in the back. I also, don't want to have a box anymore, and still be able to have as much room as possible. How, you ask?

I haven't been under the rear of my car for a while now, so I'm not sure on specifics, but some people have taken the spare out completely. I would like to put 2 subs in the rear compartment hanging where the spare would go. Make the new box out of fiberglass, and would have something similar to the C5 guys.

Has anyone seen this done yet? Randy, have you done this?

Kevin...no I have not done that. Very interesting. I am not familuar with the location of the spare in the C4...is it under the car? I have built dozens of enclosures for C4 but nothing like that....I think that would be kick a$$. When do you want to bring it over to get started?

The spare is directly under the rear. I'm not exactly sure how much of the spare is under the cargo area though. It goes under the gas tank also. I'll have to get under there sometime soon.

As soon as I get some spare cash saved up.

This is what I had done to mine. 2 10" woofers in stock location.

Sound is awesome, and the space is great.

Hi, How did you get a 10' sub to fit in that cubby hole ? I have two Image dynamics 10' IDmax v3's....these have Large magnets and are sql subs. I'm trying to get an idea of how to mount these subs and where. Not sure whether to just build a normal box to fit in the back, use the compartment or what... Would it be possible to fabricate those areas (that you used) to hold my subs? thanks

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you have a gas tank between the rear tub of the interior, and the spare carrier.

spare is actually right behind the tail lights, standing vertical. Above the spare tire, is the bottom of the cargo area
