Kudo's to Dr. Don
I want to take a moment to thank Dr. Don on this forum. I would highly recommended to anyone using Dr. Don's Professional Audio Services in Huntsville Texas for your repairs/restorations/upgrades to your Corvette radio's.
These people are simply awesome. Don, in my opinion, went well beyond exceptional service for me.
On the 12th of July I sent my Bose Gold CD off to another vendor for repairs, a day over two weeks later they still did not have it finish and behaved unbelievable rude and unprofessional. I posted comments about their service in off topic. A forum member in that area offered some help to assist me in getting my stereo system back, they were threatening to keep it or return it at their leisure. The next day, Thursday, I got it back from them.
I called Dr. Don's off of recommendations from the folks here on the forum. Explained the situaton to him, and they said we would repair and return it in 24 hours, for $40. less than these other characters. I called back and asked if I overnighted it to him for Friday morning what was the possibility of having it repaired and shipped back out that afternoon so I could have it Saturday morning (today). He told that would not be a problem and was happy to help me.
Folks it got there yesterday at 10:30, he called me to let me know he received it. I also opted for the CDR upgrade so I could have the ability to play CDR's which also gives you a lighter weight CD mechanism that has a better laser which allows it to recover instantly from bounces. He then called me a few hours later to let me know it was on its way back.
This morning, Saturday, it arrived at 9:30 am. It was professionally packaged in a double box. It looked like it came from the factory.
I just finished installing it along with all new trim, console and radio bezel (I got from Chris at Superior) and talk about some awesome tunes. I am so happy. When I bought the Vette over 3 years ago the CD didn't work, so this is first I've ever got to use it.
If you need to have your Corvette radio serviced don't even hesitate, Dr. Don's will take care of you with exceptional service backed by a one year warranty.
