Default help with an EAZY wiring question plz

ok,long story short.
Im building an electrical sub-panel in my vett. When I bought the parts I may have grabbed the wrong AWG Wiring.

what is the safe volts/amps limits for an 18 awg wire?

my list of items that will be rewired:
headlights high
headlights low
MSD box
electric water pump (dont have one but making room for future growth)
2 Spall 2800cfm electric fans.

This project is mostily condensing relays and fuses mounted to one panel and location.

thanks in advance
cheers
chad

Default Wire rating

18 AWG is good for approximately 16 to 18 Amps in open air. That converts to about 235 Watts at 13.2V.

18 AWG is the wire you find with typical household apllicances, TVs, lamps, etc. The voltage rating is dependent on the insulation, but in most cases, the wire you can get at Radio Shack and similar places will be good for 12VDC systems.
