It was time to replace the old bose system
I know Infinity isn't the best but for some reason I really love their sound quality.
I was thinking of using the seat mount but I really want to find something closer to the rear of the car. Thanks for the idea though.

So I am a little biased. My last set were Polks and I liked those also.

WOW!!! I had no idea that so many people liked infinity stuff. About the hip-hop comment. I would have to agree with you but if you mount the speakers in sealed inclosures they do pretty good. Every now an then I like to list to a little hip hop but most of the time it is country, instumental, 80's and 90's music. I know I know. I'm pretty boring for 25
So...if you have equal lengths of the same guage wire you are covered and will have zero noise caused by a bad ground.
Finally, the Corvette is the only car I have done it this way (so far). Reason being is the aluminum and fiberglass. It makes sense to use a short ground because of the high cost of large guage wire when dealing with a "normal" car.
