URGENT HEP NEEDED!! ESC Question
I also posted this in the General Section,..
I am really hoping someone can provide me with some insight into a question I have because I have received mixed answers from the dealerships. I have a 99 Coupe with the RTD and F45 suspention and thus I have a Electronic Suspension Control (ESC) Module mounted in the driver side rear compartment. Here is the problem, I am in the process of installing a new stereo system with 2-8" subs in this rear compartment and the stereo shop that said they could modify my boxes that were built by Mike (makes the subs boxes on the forum- screen name?) unless I moved the box.
So what do I need to know, is there anything that would prevent me from moving this box from vertical to horizontal, in other words velcroing it to the bottom of the compartment. I am concerned that their might be a sensor in the box that would throw off the ESC module and make the car handle improporerly. Once again I have received 2 votes from the dealerships that it should not be a problem and one that said do not move it.

why don't you temporarily move it and see what happens? Personally I do not think it will do anything since the vette does not have a self leveling system in it. You should ask forum member Patches...I bet he would know for sure.
