Default Need Advice in installing a CD Changer

I have a 93 coupe and I just purchased a JVC CD RF Changer. I am planning in install the unit in the compartment behind the passenger seat. I wanted to ask if any one has installed a CD Changer into that compartment and could they provide any helpful advice? Also how did you secure the unit and how did you do the wiring run for power and ground?
This would be my frist install of any kind to this car.

I installed mine in that compartment. I removed the back carpet and storage lids. I didn't want to drill holes and wanted to pad changer to reduce shock and prevent skip, so i folded some old bath towels and padded it on the bottom and all four sides. I ran wires under door sill carpet to dash and tied into radio. when you reinstall carpet, no wires show, and changer being in compartment is out of sight. I have never had any problem with cd skipping, no matter what the road conditions.
