putting in my Xm commander via the GM10 harness. its all hooked up like its supposed to be, but neither me nor tech support nor the place where i bought it from can figure this out. im getting power to the adapter thing to plug into my XM tuner but the stock deck wont toggle between the CD and AUX things. the battery has been disconnected and reconnected, all connections are checked and double checked and im getting power and ground to the harness but it wont let the head unit know there is an aux something there so it wont toggle over. the stereo shop i bought my stuff at even talked to tech service and they said they have always had great luck with this stuff only thing is perhaps the aux input adapter they sold me was bad so the shop tech went on his lunch hour to the main warehouse to pick me up another one (and he's not doing the install, i did. he's just trying to help me out). anyway, if this new adapter still doesnt work am i missing something? i hate to have to do XM via FM modulation but im dying to try it out. its activated and ready to go....if anyone has any answers ill be back at the stereo shop in a bit so if u can and will ill have my cell *** ph number edited out since not needed anymore**** with me and u can call me. thanks guys. hopefully the forum will come through again haha

haha never mind. it was a bad aux adapter afterall. the installer who didnt really install it took time out on his lunch hr to go pick one up and spent a total of about an hour working on it trying to get it to work. all this and he didnt expect payment, but i gave him some anyway. bottom line, HAWK ELECTRONICS ON GREEN OAKS IN ARLINGTON is where i found this awesome customer svc. anyway, in case anyone wants to know, my XM commander contrller is mounted where teh stock ashtray was and is hidden behind the door. the gap around the controller display is filled in with black leather afixed to plastic backing so it looks nice and finished. the XM antennae is mounted magnetically on a metal plate affixed to the rear of the car inside the back bumper. i just made an l bracket for it and used its magnet to mount it instead of double sticking it. its just off center from the third brake light, accessed through the inboard left tail light then the wire is run through the back part into the cabin down the side under the trim and the XM tuner is mounted on the right side of the console under the radio surround, its kinda even with the drivers knee beside where the AC controls are. works awesome, sounds great too.
