91 bose replacement help
Please ....I Need Help...This is my first use of the forum....
I have a 91 coupe......I have sucessfully installed a JVC 2din CD/Cassette/MP3 HU with Alpine amp and 4 Infinity 6.5 speakers.....this system works fine. HOWEVER, my interior courtesy lites and Auto Climate control stopped. The Climate control window lites up but it is blank and all the buttons are dead.
I've read that i may have to do somthing to fool the system into thinking that the Bose is still installed. I hear about Resistors that need to been place between several of the pins on the plugs.
PLEASE, can somebody give me SPECIFIC info on solving this situation, like What Resistors, Where do they go Etc.

My suggestion is you double check all the wiring. If the lights and AC worked prior to the install then my guess would be a problem with your wiring.
As for the need for resistors, I have read the same thing on here before, but I don't really don't understand it. I installed an aftermarket head unit in my '91 (Clarion) and I have had no problems. Everything works just as it did before the install and I have had zero problems with the "sys" light flashing, etc.
