Diamond Audio?
What do yall think of their products? (mostly interested in hearing about their subs)
I remember one of my brother's friends in high school (2 years ahead of me, so roughly 3-4 years ago) had a diamond 12" in the back of his Eclipse and all I remember was that that sucker was badass....but I didn't know anything about car audio at the time and had nothing to compare it to. So how do yall think their subs stack up against Image Dynamics, Alpine Type Rs, JLs and Infinity Kappas (the subs I usually see recommended here)?

I don't know many who suggest Kappa's for subs...
The ID and JL (depending on model) are better than the DAs I have heard.
I simply love the JL W7s... awesome! I just hate the price tag! The W6s are sick, too! Much better price tag!
Alpine? They make great head units... but after that, there are better items available...

ED, ID, JL, DA in that order. It is all in your definition of "badass". I've got a 12" DA CM3 D2 for sale in brand new condition if you are interested. Looking to get about $125 for it.

I agree...DA makes some really nice speakers but you can do better for the same money or less when it comes to subs. Now if you are getting a smoking deal on some DA subs then that would be a good way to go. Personally...JL has never let me down.

It all depends on what you are looking for. I have them and I am VERY VERY pleased with them. I also have their components installed also. I believe Diamond makes great competition quality stuff. And I have gone to some comps and have been impressed with their performance.

I have a friend who owns a car stereo store. I wanted a sub for my C5 and he was going to put in a Diamond Audio (his choice). So I'm sure they're good. JL is famous for a reason. I have an Alpine Type R I got from a Forum member who sold his car and made me a deal. It's plenty for what I need.
