mid-conversion brand recommendations
I've managed to add an xtant 400w amp and an Alpine sub to my 2002 z06 (completely stealth - pics to come). It's time to replace the head and cockpit speakers. I've already purchased an Alpine CDA-D857 1.5 din head unit that my installation crew swears will fit.
In any case, as the speakers are bose, I need to replace them at the same time I replace the head. Any suggestions as to brand? I had MTX in my old '94 firebird that sounded pretty good, but that soundscape was completely different.
As the head is Alpine, and the sub is as well, the installers suggested Alpine SPS171A's for the door and SPS130A's for the column. Total cost for parts - $180.
