2nd part

bad pic but shows the speakers mounted behind all the baffles. I chose to do it this way since the tweet and mid stuck out about a 1/2"
to get wire thru this door's groment tubing was the hardest part of the whole prodject. Passenger side was easier but the driver's door had wiring for both power windows and power locks. Two cuts to hand, lots of
cussing
finished door
one piece of chit sub that is rated to 120 watts. ( I blew up it's brother last year) I'm giving it 600 watts
Notice I have two old school PPI amps, one on each side. The one is sending 600 watts to the sub, the other is running 50watt per channel to the Infinity plate speakers in the dash. Channels 3&4 are running at 2 ohms and giving each door speaker (4 total) 50 watts.
It will not be stolen again. The hook is clamped on metal on both sides, screws are hidden and tips bent over. No room to get bolt cutters in there. The back seat plate is VERY durable (I had a bitch of a time getting a hole in it) The screws that hold the amps on are also bent over in the sub enclosure. The sub itself is the only thing they can get, and who in the heck wants a cheap Pyle sub? I also double double check that my alarm is on
Not my best work by far but for my winter beater, it is just fine. I'll probably add different subs in the spring, maybe the 3 12"s out of the Vette

What did you upolster the door with? Can't tell from the pics.
What kinda glue did you use on the baffle? I would still backed it with a few screws... just to be sure.
I bet it sound mucho better.

I left that part out, I used bunch of sheet metal screws to secure the panel to the metal frame of door. The doors are more solid and quiet than ever, probably even when it was new. Believe it or not I only broke 4 of those white plastic clips that hold the door on and replaced them too. I used just regular silicone but with the additions of all the screws. That baffle isn't going anywhere. That is a downside though, because if I ever need to get door panel off, the carpet will have to be ripped off. The carpet is basically the same stuff on the sub box and is also sound transparent. I used 3M spary adhesive to put carpet on, I think it will be a serious female dog to get back off.

When I got the speakers mounted to the panels I did hook them up to my upstairs stereo and they sounded good, they put out allot of mid-bass which I need up front in the truck.
The Infinity plates sound awesome hooked up to the HU and I'm guessing they'll sound even better hooked-up to the PPI amp.
PS I also have 3-way 6X9 Kenwoods in the rear stock locations. They suck. Was the 3rd and last time I will EVER buy Kenwood products.
I have used the fadar to lower them quite a bit but I haul my duaghter' friends around so that is the only reason I keep them.
