car wont start?!?!
I installed my cd player and now the car wont start. I got the ignition wire from the passenger floorboard and everything else from behind the dash. When I disconnect the wire harness from the cd player.. then the car starts up.
The deck is a pinoeer premier cd player in case that needs to be specified.

okay, got an update... the car will start if I hold the key in ignition for about 1-2 seconds. The cd player powers up, then immediately afterwards the engine will turn over.
Is this fine to leave it like this?

Just pull your ignition wire from somewhere else.
Sounds like you have no memory lead.If the CD Player powers up when you tune the ignition on then you will have no memory when you shut it off.
The wiring harness should be plug and play.Not sure why you would need to pull an ignition lead from somewhere else.
