Subs in rear storage compartments
BTW, how much of the car panels am I going to tear up replacing door speakers, rear speakers, and doing the subs how I want? Would I be better off getting it professionally done?

in the C4 audio faq there is a link to an install of a 10" sub in the passenger side compartment; this has been done.
you probably can't put one in the drivers side because of the abs computer thats in there. really the only way to go is with the 2 8"s or 1 10" in the passenger compartment (unless you don't mind a big box sitting in the hatch)

I could go on...
I could also probably start a website for awful C4 subwoofer installs.

Ive got lots of content. Also, i'll be adding my own car to that list too, since mine is totally awful right now. And my dad was nice enough to fry an amplifier while digging for some tools in my car, and dropped a pair of pliers on the amp, bridiging the ground wire to the speaker output. SMOKE!!!!!!oh well, at least I get to buy an amp of my choice now. Hell of a way to upgrade.
here is a couple more awful ones for your viewing pleasure....

now here is one, I like ALOT... Mainly cause its simple. And its an Alpine R 12"

And a couple of other ones I liked

I liked this one for the fact that he had the ***** enough to shove two 15's back there, but the amp portal was awful.
