Auto Extras & MemorabiliaAccessories for your Corvette that aren’t budget-busters. Plus, Corvette memorabilia and die cast models (1:24 and 1:18 scale).
I checked on the "NEW" release dates...they are available but, you have to order them from China....that's the order form they sent me anyway....go figure.
I bought the 2001 Daytona winner. I purchased the dirty version. It was a group purchase set-up by one of our club members. I've had it since around September?
The platinum is a different car all it's own.....hard to find now along with the 24k pre race #3. They both are knock out cars....but, they do cost now...
I don't know what all of that means.....but when Action is the only game in town with license to #3, and they do/did sponsor the C5R team....I'd rather have the Action than nothing at all.

I agree. The auto art are trully finer pieces, and I will be buying their C5R,s soon, but if you are a fan of DE Inc.,you gotta have the Action car in your collection.

It means Actions are ****-poor representations of the C5Rs, and are a rip-off at $20 more than AutoArt. Even more of a rip-off if you fall for all of the "special" editions - pre, post, gold, platinum, etc. So I'm very happy to have had nothing for the last few months, and now I can spend the money saved on some high quality die-casts.
I agree the action cars are junk. The body panels don't fit right, the doors are wobbly, the detail on engine ect stinks. I'd MUCH rather have the AA cars but when you're shooting for having the whole collection you have to have Action cars too. Funny.... last week you could pick up a raced version #3 for 25.00 and the #2 for about the same price...the AA cars never get cheaper, wonder why
I haven't gotten an AA car yet that I haven't loved.
PS I just picked up the Action #2 black/silver and I'll admit the quality is much much better than on the #2 #3 yellow raced cars. The panels fit better it looks more like an AA than before. We'll see where they go. People will figure out they can get the same cars cheaper with AA and get a MUCH better car.
blah blah blah blah blah blah ;)

I'd hope that as a sponsor of the team they're going in the right direction, but I don't know. I'm not a NASCAR collector, but I think their other cars are pretty decent quality.

Hey Lilred, where was that ? And wwere they 1/18?
On ebay. For a day or so they were going for nothing. They're back up to 40-45.00 There's no shortage of them that's for sure.
Here are a few still going....

It might be a rip-off but, I have them all and it's one impressive display and piece of Corvette racing history. Also, being a dedicate Dale fan, represents something special, in the life of Dale, that he really got a kick out of doing...to each his own, I've probably bought worse for more.....

I absolutly agree that AA is much higher quality, and I wish they did there own version but since Action has the rights to #3
