V710 Not legal on Calif. streets?

It doesn't rain in California,
Maybe the guy at the tire shop knows as much as the guy who works at BK.
To me it would depends how far the track is away.

I would re-think that! If it rains you are in big trouble...also they will puncture easier than a street tire. You will also wear the heck out of them with highway miles as they are increadibly soft. I would look into a tire trailer and change them at the track, or go with treaded R's, like michelins or toyo's. Who cares if they are illegal, no one is going to check your tires, I would care about your saftey and their durability for highway use.

I have 710's too, but I'd rather trailer them to the events. The threadwear per $$$ is too much for me, I rather wear them out on the track.
