Default Need Help Fast!

Will 335 Hoosiers R3s fit on ZO6 rear that has been slightly lowered? The guy sent me 305 fronts and 335 rears and im leaving for Gingerman Thursday. Do i need to go to the local Hoosier distributor and make a trade and mount the 305s up on the rear and buy 275s for the front or just get the 315s for the rear and keep the 305s for the front???

HELP! Runnin out of time.

depends on what wheels and offset you are running.

If your on 11" GS wheels you can fit the 305 up front but they will stick out ~1 inch, fender rubbing will depend on suspension settings; how low, stiffness (roll, dive). You can also fit the 335 on back with the same wheel but again you will now stick out ~1/2", same thing applies for rubbing as front.

best bet is to simply raise the ride hieght a few turns. for a weekend the alingment will not get messed up to much and it will help keep the rubbing to minimum.

335 recommended rim widths are 12-13".

Z06 rears are 10.5"

I don't think you can mount them.

275/40-17 fronts and 305/35-18 rears are probably appropriate. Not sure about section height on rears. Might be 35 or 30.

I run 275/40-17 fronts and 315/30-17 rears on GS wheels on a lowered Z06. No problems.

Someone just posted in the Z06 section that they had mounted 335's on a 10.5" Z06 rim.

Here's the thread link.

One thing to mention though. He has an FRC without the rear brake ducts, so there's no telling if there would be rubbing on the brake ducts. Also, he's running this on the street with street tires and I don't know if I'd go outside of recommended rim width's if you're going to be running R-compound tires at the track.

If I were you, I'd try and exchange the tires.

I have some VRL 335/30x18 rears and 305/30x18 fronts. I did need to raise my car up for several reasons. one was so the 335s would not rub. I have them on 18x13 rims with 3/8 spacer on back.

Now car is about 1 1/2" lower then stock.

With the ZO6 you will need to remove the rear brake ducts to fit anyting larger then a 305 with out rubbing.
