The Road America event looks awesome! I have to check my calendar. If it doesn't rain, the track will be rubbered in great as well after ALMS and Champ Car run during the weekend.

KeeKeeRist, Tom ... announcement like this in Dec is like throwing chum on the shark-infested waters!
I'll be signing up in Jan to return to NCM VIR event as a student

Road America ... will be a track too far this year ... but from the response here already, hopefully there will be a return in 2009 (I hope!)

$50 is steep, do the profits from the event and member fee go into lowering the cost of the event?

I wonder if there will be ~1000 c6 Z06's there again?

Any discounts for multiple schools or consecutive years?

Those of us representing in Vettes at NASA, BMW CCA, AUDI, PCA and other events could use a little break.

I know w/ the school selling out in 2 hrs the demand would probably indicate the price would go up, but

I am in for both. Nancy is in for both. We will be trailering up from Richmond also. About 950 miles. Leave early thurs morning and arrive fri afternoon. Maybe the folks from the VA area can get a convoy of sorts together. Looking forward to seeing the usual suspects...I mean cast of characters...I mean good upstanding folks there.

Registration for Road America will open in March according to the NCM website.

Any profits go to the Museum.

We are not the Highest, nor the lowest price event.

Event Price will be released with event additional information.

What do you mean by "fixed"?

BTW.. Here's how the Champ Cars rubber in the track. This was taken at the 2001 CART race weekend in August. Just the Champ Cars and no ALMS rubbering the track in. This was the Friday practice day. There was more rubber down after Sunday. The track never gets rubbered in like that during a DE.

This was Cristiano da Matta making turn 6.

When Cristiano had his freak accident during the Champ Car test, the deer jumped out on the track from where the photographer is standing. He hit the deer, it landed in the cockpit and he continued on to the tire wall instead of making the corner.

I really enjoyed myself at VIR last year but as it's a 14 hour drive I may sit tight and see what might be happening a little more north this year (like WGI, Mosport, Mt.Tremblant, hint, hint).

Also I would prefer a 3 day event over a 2 day event.

Sounds good. Thanks for the taking the time to answer the profits question!

With so much instruction, will passengers be allowed?

That is good news! Will there be a forum get together?

I live only 15 mins from the track and was thinking of hosting a campfire BYOB event but I have the farm up for sale and will be moving up by Appleton. Probably to far to have something similar. I hope the place sells by then!
