Joe G. Won the NewHampshire race... 2 Years in a row...
AKA sleeper02Z06 and the SCCA New Hampsire SCCA NE race that is...
So, I guess those who bitched that "it was a rain race" last year don't have much to say this year, 'ey? I mean, afterall, it was DRY this time.
Word I got was that Joe and DiPippo had a really good battle, with Joe fighting a transmission issue that almost cost him the race...Tranny is out and being gone thru right now. Joe is prepping for Summit Point...Hopefully he'll have good results there as well.
Good going Joe...
Mike

Thanks for posting Mike, it's been a long week dealing with the trans in an effort to make Summit Point next weekend.
Mike was spot on, I fought a failing trans the entire race giving Phil a really good chance, he was getting huge runs on me every time I lost the momentum trying to make the 3-4 shift. I had to focus on not putting a wheel wrong. I was able to outqual him by about 1 second but he was able to get by me about 10 laps in. I tried like hell to saty with him and finally gave him enough to think about so that he spun in the infield. I trotted home the best I could. It's a great feeling, NHMS has been good to me. A pole position in 2007, a win in the wet in 2008, a win in the dry in 2009! I ran a 1:10.1 for qual, one of the fastest times ever for a C5 T1 car, I think only David Woodle has gone faster than that, he's the home track hotfoot! I'm pretty proud of that!
I'll have video on the site soon!

How many T-1 entries were there for NHIS?
The rest of the Phoenix crew is probably recovering from the World Challenge weekend from last and I don't think they were at NHIS. Or were they?
