Scheming my first 2010 fix in the SE
Out in Georgia this week the highs are in the 30's and I'm wanting to drive. I'm still limiting my track commute to 4 hours at this point, so I went to weather.com and checked out the weather for Braselton, Savannah, Birmingham for the months of Feb and March.
Looks like Barber and Road Atlanta are still real cold thru March but Roebling Road gets a 40-67 range towards the end of Feb
Mouth watering, I move to the Roebling Road site and check out their schedule. Usually I just ride with Chin, but that is up in the air at this point.
Ding - Ding, we might have a winner.

I've never done this group. Anybody know if this Porsche club is Corvette friendly? Any input appreciated. Hmmm, that's only 6 weeks away

I went with them last October. There were only a few Vettes there, but once I figured out that a "Cup" car had nothing to do with NASCAR I blended right in. I would definitely do an event with them again. The price is hard to beat.

I think you'll be in for a surprise after I finish my new tune. So many things to learn. Of course, even if I get max HP out of my car, that wont help me in the turns, but I'm anticipating a couple seconds faster from the power.

Geez. All this smack talk and I'm not the one being picked on.
Anywho...the PCA thing is a really good bargain as long as you get in the right run group. There's usually A LOT of traffic and with the limited passing zones there's a good chance you'll just do a bunch of riding around if you're in a slow group.

Hmmm, that would make sense to be Sat / Sun
RR Schedule says Sun / Mon, but I see clubregistration.net says Sat / Sun

I am pretty sure the Instructor Day is just Friday not Friday and Saturday as listed on the RR site. Too bad Seattime is not there that week or you could hit that up instead.

I ran with Florida Crown and Coastal Empire PCA Groups this past fall, they put me in their white solo group with the experience I put down on the registration web site, the run group was fairly light so there was plenty of open track, no Trains. The price is great, but you have to remember they are runing 5 or 6 run groups so your out on the track for 20 - 30 minutes and then your down for 60-90 minutes, unless you go out with a lower run group. (that will be great if you have to change rotors and brake pads again) But over all it was a good time, I went out there with half a dozen guyes from work with Porsches and one new Camaro. And yes I'm thinking about doing both Florida Crown in January 23-24 and Florida Citrus 21-22 in February. love to see you come down, let me know!!!
