Not watching from the sidelines this year!
Looking forward to driving the event this year - I'm in the blue group with my C4 - LT4 coupe.
NCM HPDEs are very well done, safe, tons of fun, and you meet great people. Guys - get your lady to sign up! If the 2 day event might be too much (of a great thing!) she should do the PrimeDrive. Learning about and experiencing the capabilities of these great cars will make her appreciate them (and maybe you!) even more - on and off the track.
See you in June!

Are they doing Primedrive this year? Seems like it's never been given enough priority/planning to work out well. I personally think something like Primedrive needs even more nurturing and attention than even novice/green group if you want the participant to come away with a positive experience. I got so busy recruiting instructors at the last minute that I was actually too overwhelmed to notice once the event started!

Roc or Tom,
I instructed for NCM at last years event at VIR. I signed up for the Advanced group this year. If you need instructors, I am available this year as well.

I was camped at my keyboard right at 0900 EST (actually I think they were a couple minutes later opening registration ) This is one of the "must do" events every year.
I look forward to seeing all my old friends there.

NASA vs. NCM HPDE
How do the NCM and NASA HPDE events compare?
I am just starting and am wondering if an HPDE with all Corvettes might be a bit different than one with a large mix of cars.
I am a member of both but have never been to an event at either.

NCM has no racing and you get a little more track time. As far as safety goes, they are comparable. Fewer cars on the track with NCM which means more open track.

Instructors will work with many many organizations.
Doing ONE event is just like eating potato chips, You can NEVER DO JUST ONE.
