Default Balancing 2 piece rotors when changing rotor disc ??

When changing the rotor disc on a 2 piece rotor assembly, do you need to "balance" the assembly.

I had assumed you just bolt the new rotor disc onto the hat and you are good to go.

Any advice would be appreciated

Shouldn't be an issue the hat is very light and the disc should be balanced

You don't balance the tires do you? If the rotors were out of balance you'd never know it.

I have not balanced by tires/wheels for a couple of years due to all the rubber that is picked up and the fact that the tires spin on the wheels and have not had any issues nor felt it.

Not sure about the rotors though

I balanced a Coleman rotor/cast iron hub years ago. It took a 1/4 ounce at a 2" radius. I removed an integral solid rotor from the hub and machined it to accept Coleman rings. It probably made no difference as the track pick-up on the OD of the tire was at a 13" radius.

Correct
IMHO, balancing them is a waste of time at this point and I have never had a vibration problem when not balancing them.
