No........but I took it as two separate issues. Could explain the loss of power and the odd idle.

I would flow test the oiling system........make sure its working in the first place.........

It is not the oil cooler or radiator pulled it this morning. Springs are original to rebuild. They are comp cam I believe. Plugs all look good and motor rotates fine. Since they are installing my new Rotary two post lift I am distracted this morning!

I agree with CP that you might consider going to the dyno. You can find out what your A/F is and that in turn will let you see if you could have vacuum leaks timing and so on.

Before I rebuilt my motor my oil temps would abnormally rise very quickly.

Motor sounded fine.

Cut the filter open and there was bearing material.

Two main bearings had spun mildly.

Also, what are your oil pressures at 270* and idle as well as at 4k?

Not an intake leak. Oil Filter is next.

Has your driving style changed? Higher rpm or longer at high rpm?

The sender is cheap and easy to get to, but if you could get to a mustang dyno or equal testing, you will be able to do drivability testing under load with a new sender. I just know who might have one (dyno)

Found the center spoiler was pretty mangled and was diverting a lot air away from radiator. Not given it a test run after repair.

The air bridge and air cleaner were pretty oily, puddles in fact, cleaned everything up with alcohol and idles much better now.

The oil cooler in and out lines have a delta T of ~40 degrees F so the cooler functions and the oil temp pretty much matches water temp. So I am pretty sure everything in the heat rejection system is working.

Once the new windshield is in I will load for Roebling Road next weekend to see if it is any better

Are you going faster? You will gain oil heat if you are!

My oil temps suddenly increased by about 30 degrees F and i was worried about just about everything mentioned here. It turned out to be the down pipe exhaust flange was loose and exhaust was leaking onto the oil pan. It also cooked my starter. And, no, I didn't hear it until it got really bad.

Oil temps are back to normal, I'm happy, and the cost was next to nothing.
