Gloves
I want to get a pair of gloves for when I do HPDEs. Last time I was out there my hands really got torn up. Any suggestions? Really don't need anything over the top.
What are you doing? I have raced three days in a row and never had hand issues and I have 4 plastic/steel joints in my left hand!?? I had nomex gloves on with leather palms.

Lol I was relaxed but from the shuffling it basically blistered my palms up near my fingers. What can I say I've got that baby skin. lmao

I tell students to keep their hands in one place on the wheel. If you are constantly moving your hands around it disturbs how you are driving. If you grasp the wheel in the same place each time you can tell whether you are doing a corner the same way each time since your hands/arms will always be in same position when the wheel is turned. For instance going around T9 at the Glen. From the point I make the initial turn in my right elbow is locked and my arm is in the same position from lap to lap. Once I point this out to students and they start doing it they get a lot faster.

That's what I was originally taught and what I was comfortable with. Trust me I'm anti-shuffle because I like knowing where center is.
