I believe it is a body kit as well.
I can't see the engine being any different from the prior LS 'Pontiac' and 'Chevy' 5.0L engines used over the last 3-4 years. All LS based and if it is like our GT car, pretty limited.

The engines for our class of cars are pretty much crate engines, with headers and a dry sump. Not much allowed to be done to them. For the longest time they DP cars had to run the truck LS intake as well, they have a little more room to go, but nothing big.

"The fact that this car went from a sheet of paper to a finished product in 8 months, is truly remarkable. "
I guess with the climate at GM, taking 5 years to bring the Camaro to production (as compared to the Ford Mustang, and Nissan GTR in about 18 months), 8 months for a new body is something out of this world.
If Pete Brock saw this, I'm sure he was laughing.

I think they were pretty much 366 ci endurance versions of a cup motor.
