I know that Tom has posted on this subject but let me be really clear, we don't start out with the idea that there will be 2 students per instructor, 1 student per instructor or any other predetermined arrangement. While student groups have registration limits for each level, we don't set a limit on instructors. We go with what we have and make sure that everyone who needs an instructor gets one. As we have seen the skill levels at the VIR event rise we have more that are solo which eases the pressure but I've had to carry 3 students more than once, especially when instructors don't show. I happen to like having 2 students, some prefer 3 and some like 1, we try to accomodate but student needs have to be met especially with them paying for our track time.
I understand where you are coming from and I understand the situation. Just thought I would bring up the question again this year.

If you guys get to the point of needing another instructor, I am still willing to take on one student.

In any case I am looking forward to another great NCM event again this year regardless of where I end up, Instructing or running Advance group. Keep up the great events. See you guys there.

Contrary to the rumor that instructors were born doing this the truth is we all started there.

I must warn you though, it's highly addictive and your soul has been sold to the Darkside.

I'll be in the Light Blue group.
It's my first time with the NCM but have been to VIR several times with FAASST.
Looking forward to it!
Mine is a pure stock Z06 with Gen 2 Goodyears.

I have never had an instructor in the car while I was driving on the course. The only time I've had an instructor sitting next to me was at an autocross event.

I like that. I did the same thing.

Anyone going to show up this year in a C6.R like we see in the GT class in the ALMS races or maybe even a DP Corvette like we see in the Rolex series. Either would be very cool.

Karen's back on Monday and first thing will be to pull out the registrant list and get that to Tom. Last nite was spent working on volunteer assignments. BTW Karen will be coming to this year's event so maybe we will actually reverse entropy for a bit. We have a large contingent from GM coming, a number of first timers. Also we'll be doing a test on Teen School that we are developing at the NCM so it's going to be a busy event. Everyone can start teching their cars which does not include waxing wheels or indexing valve stems.
