Finish c6 track car with Sequential
Well guys , i look thru this forum a bunch and have also gotten plenty of help from other post so i am now going to contribute my 2 cents..
I dont know what got into me in the last year but i went nuts, had a c6 driver that i decided to convert to a fun track car to use while i coached at some of the events and race locally in a race group called Farausa.. well one thing lead to a other and and and well you guys know what i mean..a monster was born
Started out with a steel frame c6 , pfadt suspension goodies, Moton coilovers, Brembo monster (380mm) brakes, full cage, gutted the whole car , Momo Seat and wheels, Saldana racing radiator, 2 -19 row oil coolers ,19 row trans cooler, 19 row diff cooler and then the fun part T.E.C built me a bullet proof LS2 with JE pistons, Callies Crank , Oliver rods, Dallies Drysump, and to make the whole thing move i purchased a Hollinger 6 speed Sequential Gearbox mated to a quaife diff..
I tested the whole package last weekend at Homestead ,, All i can say is i spend a lot of money on this project but it was worth every cent...
The Hollinger Sequential is a dream ,, and this whole combination of goodies have transformed this c6 into a real monster ,, not a huge amount of HP only 430 hp with 420 ftlb but it ran circle around other track only z06 , Zr1 this weekend...
i also have a Porsche gt3 cup car that i race,, but i think i going to give the gt3 a rest for the next few local races as this car was a blast to drive...
I will be posting up some incar video and some pictures of the build shortly ...as soon as Photobucket uploads them..lol

If you have not already seen this....worth a look if you are serious about doing a gear box like that.

Hi
Great upgrades!
Are you running an engine managment system for ign cut/blip, or just lift/shift?
How did you do it with the drive shaft couplers? Running alu couplers?
I am running an holinger myself in a c6.
Brgds

Hey News i am running the factory ECU with a Torque Cut from Lingenfelter its a No lift shift up but still need to Blip on the down,,, We stayed away from the Alum drive shaft couplers and are using the stock Z06 factory coupler,, They have seem to work well on others high HP track cars down here...
The Lingenfelter Torque cut Box works awesome,, very easy to setup and very adjustable also has Launch Control ... i went this way as it was not to expensive ($350) and i didn't want to install a motec that would have set me back 10-15 k or more..
Has anyone come up with a way to control brake bias ? Or do i need to rip out the pedals and install a set of Tilton pedals and 2 masters?
Any suggestions?

I just sheared one of my rubber joints off, but probably could have done a swap/maintenance earlier that would avoided that. Took the driveshaft out as well.
I will look into the torque box from lpe. I think mti racing work on a cut/blip system as well.
Have fun!

It doesn't need an iron center section.....the race cars make more power than that and don't need it.
I would suggest possibly going to a ZR1 diff in the car though. Make sure the drivetrain is solidly mounted as well.
