C5/C6 Base Front Wilwood Kit - Fits stock wheels and OEM Rotors
I am updating this thread based on the caliper and bracket availability.
This front brake kit upgrade is based on the following parts.
**New Design** Wilwood Forged SL6 6 piston front SuperLite brake calipers. Stainless Steel Pistons/20mm thick pads available in many compounds
OEM Sized rotors from a C5 or C6 base model - 325 mm x 32 mm. We suggest our KNS/DBA 2 piece rotors to be the most durable rotor on the market.
Kits are offered with or without KNS/DBA 2 Piece Brake Rotors.
*****
Update - The initial run of brackets sold out - thanks to all.
To accommodate the new forged calipers we have to redesign our bracket and that will take at least several weeks to get through the prototype and machining phases.
The kit is priced very well and it looks like we can hold the line on pricing but that is TBD.
*****
6 piston Forged SuperLite Caliper
---Uses the 20mm Thick 7420 Pad Shape----- (shop here)
Works with any OEM sized C5/C6 Base front brake rotor. (shop here)
17" C5Z Front wheels clear.
18" C5Z Rear wheels (square setup) clear but are close. Confirmed to work if KNS 4K rotors are used as the 2 piece have a slightly thicker hat section. They fit with stock rotors but are pretty close and we have not confirmed that hub flexing may cause some rub.
We will sell the kit without pads and with or without KNS 4K 2 piece rotors
This is a proven economical and effective front brake upgrade. We just ran the new VIR w/ TrackDaze and our brakes were great all weekend.
Thanks for looking and stay tuned for updates.

Kit looks good Ken!
LG kit is more expensive, looks like the price tag difference is about $200 if you don't purchase rotors and $300 if you do purchase rotors.

Our test kit uses a 2 piece rotor (KNS 4k by DBA) that has a bit thicker hat section so the wheel is out by probably 2 mm as compared to how it would fit with a regular 1 piece rotor.
C5Z front 17" wheels fit with plenty of room.
C5Z rear 18" wheels fit but it's close so that wheel with regular rotors would likely require a thin spacer or use the DBA rotors.
We will have to compile info on C6 wheel's.

hmm, they stick out far enough already. i believe you, just don't remember anyone stating that on all the SL-6 threads up here ... maybe I will try and find someone local with these installed to see up close.

They may have been using the competitor's (starts with 2 initials of owners name) Wilwood kit. Those calipers use a narrow outer half that has different wheel clearance. This is the better option IMEO.

Still not sure how the caliper differs from the LG kit but it sounds like it might not be that different. With the LG kit installed on my C5Z I had to use a 1/8 spacer with C5Z rear wheels mounted in. Without the spacer the rear of the spokes just cleared the caliper in a couple of spots (less than 1/16). I worried about how much the wheel might deflect under hard cornering and used the spacers with those wheels. I also changed the lug studs to some that were threaded all the way to the end so I could get more thread engagement when the spacers were installed. That way I could use stock lug nuts on the street when I was running the C5Z front wheels and no spacers.

Have you tired the 17 inch Z06 wheels on the front?
Also to KNS.
If I buy this kit with the good rotors for track use. Your kit allows to run a stock parts store rotor for a C5-C6 when I am street driving correct?
Does anyone make a ceramic based street pad for these calipers?
Are these the "thermolock" pistons in these? Do I need them?
I have a 99Z28, I have a bracket I use to bolt on C6 base brakes. This should bolt directly to that correct?

The 18" wheel is very close with either rotor. We are going to try it w/ the thicker 2-piece rotor and no spacer but not till track season starts again.
Yes you can run a parts store rotor - we tried one already.
There may not be a ceramic pad - but there are moderate dust pads like Hawk HPS.
We will offer Thermlock and regular versions. Parts are ordered.
We'll update as parts roll in. We ordered more calipers and brackets.
