Sweet. Are you going to leave the section above it open or make a plate to close it up? looking forward to you're track testing and results. good job.

I bet if you leave it open that lip at the top will act like a gurney flap. Any testing done yet

No plans on a closeout panel - the oem valence/ "diffuser" is like a big parachute. Also the fender liners in the rear are trimmed to evacuate more air

Yep gurney is there to strengthen the part and add downforce

As far as testing goes, I finished it last night around rush hour so no real testing other than driving around the block and going to work this morning.
It does scrape on the way out of the driveway, but as long as it holds up Im happy. The height could be adjusted but the whole part is right at the lowest plane of the car. The other option is raising the attack angle at the end with some adjustment of the mounts, but it could affect functionality

you beat me to it

seems like you would need some kind of front splitter or under tray diffuser in order to properly make this work?

Front gets an undertray that extends far enough to cover the front subframe but just enough room to allow oil changes

center of the front valence/skirt/scrapey thing is removed to reduce the high pressure zone up front that creates lift. This also allows the wing shape on the lower section of the the front bumper to work as a front diffuser because you dont end up with a torrent of dirty air circulating in that high pressure zone. The tray also has an integrated lip which should help direct air and potentially help downforce.

Ive been running the front tray longer than the rear diffuser and the front end definitely felt a heck of a lot more planted. The addition of the rear diffuser helped balance the feel.

So at this point both subframes are covered and there is a noticeable reduction of lift at both ends. Eventually Id like to make a central tray out of aluminum to cover the exhaust tunnel and totally flatten the underside.

Here are a couple of pictures of the front tray:

Update: the diffuser is still holding up well.

I have raised it a bit to avoid scraping; so far no heat issues with the exhaust and gurney location
