Thoughts? I would like to think that they wouldn't cut and run. I also think there is a rumor that GM might move the Caddy to GTD...

It would seem like a dumb move to leave, given that the new "P2" will permit the same mfg involvement as currently (engines and styling cues, both a break from ACO regs), but GM racing is "contrarian" on a number of issues.
Caddy to GTD would seem like an odd choice - is GM really needed in every IMSA class? PWC seems to have a lot of momentum and they just went through the hassle of homologating a GT3 car that they won't let anyone else use. GTD is also very much a pro-am class, so perhaps they are banking on that. They would also have to find a couple new drivers for a two car team.
