Hi,
I am currently running R888 295/30/18, but would like to swap to a 200tw tire to be able to compete in CAM, Good guys, optima etc.
With some minor tweaking i can probably fit a slightly wider tire in the front as well.
Does anybody know how wide the Rival S or RT615K+ is in relation to the R888? Looking at 315/30.
One last question, does anybody have any experience with the Yokohama Advan A052?
I would guess the Falken isn't really wider, and the BFG is somewhat wider. That's from seeing lots of 315/30 versions of all three tires mounted up and guessing at how big the 295 R888 is.
315 Falkens on a 10.5 rim is a nice fit with no bulge. 315 Rival S on a 10.5 has a bulge to it. Those sale tires on an 11in rim have a slight stretch for the Falken and a straight up sidewall for the Rival S.
Reference my car which has 18x11 +62 f/r with 315 Rival's

This is the Falken 315 (left) vs. the BFG 315 (right). The Falkens are on C5z rears and the BFG on a 18x11. Each tire fits each wheel perfectly, with the BFGs running a slight bit wider.
Do you think they are faster than the Kumho v720 ACR?
Im sure they are not, the ACR tire shouldnt be marked as 200tw at all. The A052 is the second fastest though. My theory is that SCCA banned it because the Rival S is their money tire with Tire Rack. SCCA said it was too fast to be in the 200tw group.

The A052 isn't made in enough diameters to be legal for SCCA. I have a set and tested em vs the ZL1 1LE Goodyear at Road Atlanta. The Yoko was a whopping 2.6 seconds slower then the Goodyear. I tested the goodyear vs the A7 at an autox (solo nats practice course) and the Hoosier was 1.9 faster then the Goodyear on a 35 second course. I'll test the Yoko's vs the Rival S this Friday. My initial impression of the yoko was that it was soft and vague. It also had a scary break away. It did not enjoy being driven at or near the limit. It gave little to no warning when you over stepped it and it rapidly sent you off in the grass. The goodyears were AWESOME, you could slide em all day long and they never did anything evil. The grip level fell off very slowly and progressively past the limit. EASY tire to drive on. They lacked forward bite and I had to back my braking points up. I've had the Rivals on Track but not on the same day or track as any of the other 3 sets so that will be friday. I'm not bringing the hoosiers with me so no comparison there coming. NOW all this is a bit of a grain of salt as they are all different sizes. I ordered the Goodyears to be used on my Turbo S2000 that didn't get finished so I took the Z06 and tossed the goodyears on a set of wheels just for fun.
Goodyears are a 275/35 18
Yoko A052s are a 295/30 18
Hoosier A7's are a 315/30 18
Rival S is a 315/30 18.

They don't make a 315? That said, their 305/30/19 is very close to a 315/30/18 Rival S in width. IRC it's about 1/2" taller. It's probably wider than the 315 Falken.
