The Mustang has an 18x11 et52 offering which is close to the C5 size. It is labeled a Profile 2 but I would think the Corvette one would have to look similar.
Good note! Since each wheel is tailored around the brakes that need to be cleared, it's tough to compare spec vs spec like that. The Mustang gets to benefit from 25mm spacers to clear the large front brakes, and most rear brakes are fairly small, so it will have more concavity than the C5 spec. I would consider the C5 18x11" ET57 to be a profile 1.5 (if we had something like that). It's not flat or convex like the OEM Speedline wheels, but not real deep like the widebody fitments either.

Paging Corvette owners in the Bay area! If you're interested in free professional photos of your car on brand new APEX wheels, we are looking for volunteers for test fitting and photoshoots! Volunteers will get copies of the photos, a discount on a set of APEX wheels, and APEX goodies/swag. If you're interested in volunteering, please email us at info@apexraceparts.com with your contact information, location, and a photo of your car. All are welcome. Show us what you've got! If you'd like to take an inside look at what these photoshoots involve, our good friend Blake made a video detailing the process of an 18" test fitment on his F82 M4 recently.
As a group of track enthusiasts and racers, we understand how frustrating it can be to bend a wheel in pursuit of a PB or podium finish. Whether you find yourself 4 wheels off track on a safari excursion or creating your own driving line jumping treacherous berms, wheels are put through a tremendous amount of stress and abuse in the process – sometimes simply being forged isn’t enough to avoid bends.
To mitigate this, our engineers made a concerted effort to reinforce the inner lip of these motorsport wheels and created our stronger, Sprint™ Spec inner lip design. If you haven’t already, we recommend you read our technical writeup on our Sprint™ Spec inner lip.
As wheel specialists we understand that, when it comes to reducing weight and increasing stiffness in wheel spokes, there is a big difference between functional and aesthetic side milling. Instead of milling a few negligible millimeters of depth just to look cool, our engineers optimized our new motorsport blanks to create narrower yet significantly deeper spokes, with deeper side milling that is nearly 50mm wide on some wheels. The result is a stiffer “I” beam-spoke shape that also showcases a stunning aesthetic. If you haven't already, we recommend you read our technical write-up on our deeper and wider side-milling.
Let’s face it: Whether you are a weekend warrior practicing at the track, or a club racer pushing the limit for a podium finish, mistakes happen, and parts can get damaged along the way. We are not really a performance company if we sell wheels in a way that penalizes the pursuit of driving at the limit. For this reason, we stepped up and created a program to significantly reduce the costs of properly maintaining a set of wheels by making replacements extremely affordable.
Our goal was to make replacing a damaged wheel with a brand-new one much more appealing than ignoring the problem or performing any questionable and compromising repairs. This program will also help keep damaged wheels from being passed on to unsuspecting enthusiasts via the secondhand market.
Discounted replacements are ideal for customers who accidentally damage their wheels with curb rash, bends or dings from potholes, berms, road debris, and off-track excursions. Complete destruction of a wheel from serious accidents also qualify, including tire wall or barrier impacts, contact with other racers, or any accidents resulting in a total loss.
Batch 1: The first batch of wheels is arriving at our warehouse in the first week of January. We are on track to fulfill these wheels in January as planned. We will continue to notify everyone once orders begin to ship out.
Batch 2: Production is being buttoned up, and we are on track to ship orders out in March without delay. We do not expect any delays at this time and will update everyone once production is completed.
Reorder Production: Due to the success of this deal, we are already producing additional wheels to arrive a few weeks after the 2nd batch.
Video Q&A With Our Founder
Our Marketing Director sat down with our CEO to discuss the in’s and out’s of our new Motorsport Blanks. Check out our latest episode of APEX Tech Talk to learn about the difference between our motorsport blanks and typical “street” blanks.
Some of you were confused by our last update regarding the January and March arrival of wheels, and we wanted to provide some clarification. We produced a significant number of wheels, so all sizes won’t be finished at the same time. The first batch is set to ship out to customers in January, and the second batch will ship out in March. We recommend viewing the “Available Fitments” table on the deal description tab for an ETA of your desired fitment.
The vast majority of participants will receive wheels in accordance with the ETAs listed on the fitment tables. However, with such a high volume of participants, it’s possible that popular sizes from the first January batch run out. Don't worry, we’re already making more and they should be ready to ship out at the end of March. Only once the deal comes to a close will we know accurate ETA dates per order as many people have backup designs and finishes selected, so a calculation can’t be made at this time. In a future update we’ll provide more detail on the options you’ll have once the deal closes, for processing your order.
So far we’ve only had pics of domestic applications with the VS-5RS mounted, but starting today we’re finally able to start releasing pics of Corvette, Camaro, and Mustang with EC-7RS wheels. We’re racing to get photoshoots done and pics posted before the deal ends in order to help you choose between the two designs.
This Corvette C7 Z06 shoot was done with both designs mounted in 18x11” ET38 up front and 18x12.5” ET52 in the rear. These wide wheels give proper sidewall support to the wide 315/30-18 front and 335/30-18 rear tires maximize traction, while clearing brakes with ease.

We’re excited to share the first photos of our VS-5RS on the C5 chassis. Our friend George brought his Blue Commemorative Z06, and Shannon brought his track-prepped silver Z06, nicknamed “Trailer Trash”. Both cars feature our Brushed Clear VS-5RS wheels in the 18x11” ET57 square setup. These wide wheels are designed to maximize traction front and rear, as well as properly support the sidewall of the massive 315/30-18 Nitto NT01’s.
Can my 2019 C7 ZO6 run a bit fatter wheel spec? say 10.5 for front and 12.5 with OE tire size? Want to make sure it wont rub and its flush. Also, any downsides in doing this compared to normal spec?

The OE tire size really limits you on available performance compounds, so we don't suggest that in any scenario where increased speed/handling/etc is desired. To answer the question, yes 10.5" and 12.5" wheels could be used however with the right offsets. Our 19x10.5" ET36 front, 20x12.5" ET55 rear combo would be the exact setup you're asking about, but for track use I would suggest a 19x12.5" out back instead of the 20" if you wanted to stick with 19". Better yet would be 18x11" ET38 up front with a little camber added, and 18x12.5" ET52 or 19x12.5" ET55 out back.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the Group Buy! It is now closed and we will be in touch will all who ordered. Have a good one!
Any update on when the 18x11" ET57 VS-5RS will be shipping? The NASA GL season opener at NCM is March 25th, just trying to figure out if I will have these wheels available for fresh tires or if I need to swap some others around.

To be honest I think they will be here just after that. We're slated to get them around that time, and then we still need to account for a few days of potential delays in transit, then getting them shipped out to customers. I wish we could have them in time for the opener, I do apologize.

No worries, knowing what to plan for is half the battle. Thanks for the reply.

Is the end of March delivery for the 18x11 wheels only? The dealer I ordered my 18x12.5s from is telling me they should be shipping out any day now. Is that correct or should I be preparing for an end of march delivery as well?
