Default VIR aftermath

What a great weekend - great weather (minus that one shower), great track, great people, and lots of fun. I wish we were going back again tomorrow! Anyway, it was nice meeting some of you and share some track sessions with you. Hopefully we can get another big group together at another event sometime soon

I second all of the above. Major props to AU N EGL for getting and keeping the ball rolling, setting up the hotel and providing much needed shade for the Forum boys. Awesome track weekend.

Doggone, you made good time getting home, Cass. I about ran out of gas during the last session and had to stop a few laps short so I'd have enough left to get to the gas station.

Oyish, I'm sorry I didn't get to meet you. I was in the red Z06 in the "C" group. There was a black one in our group, was that you?

And you're right, Cass, AU N EGL deserves a big hand of applause.

When I got home I asked my wife to unpack all my stuff, tires, etc., and she just laughed. I told her it was father's day and all, and she laughed even louder. She said I wasn't her daddy, I should get our kids to do it for me. So, as you can guess, I unpacked it all myself.

I had a blast as well. I was (one of 2, mine was the 383) in the QS Z06 running in "B" group. Had a lot of fun, started slow as this was my first time to VIR, managed to get some faster runs in by Sunday afternoon. Weather was wonderful, track great, in fact VIR is now my favotite track of all

Thanks to all who helped make this happen. I wish we could have spent more time on the social side among the Vette owners, hopefully next time.

Les

I had such an amazing time.. By far my most favorite track so far. It was great meeting you guys. had a great time. Sorry I couldnt meet up for dinner. yesterday I was able to keep my oil temps at just 300F.. Im def investing in an accusump, oil, and trans coolers in the near future. The weather was incredible, unfortunately I am so burnt (eventhough I wore sunblock).. Cant wait to do another event with you guys.

Great to meet everyone. Got in some decent runs and finally wore out those supercar tires that I had on some wagon wheels up front.

See all you guys that will be at viperdays next month.

Sorry I didn't get to meet more of you guys out there. I had two students and that combined with my wife's driving (and maintaining her car and my Z) as well as my own sessions combined to make one very very tiring and hectic, but fun as hell, weekend. Maybe next time around.

Yep, work was anticlimatic after the weekend.

You're right we had a few 'Vettes. Did you get to run with that Pewter FRC with the wagon wheels? He was fast. Hell, there were a lot of fast guys in that group.

Here are a few pix from the weekend:

Can you say hot?

Here area few more:

nice pics I have a few of some track action, but no site to host. I actually have one of me chasing you up the hill on the back straight

I very much enjoyed the event. I think the Mazda drivers group did an outstanding job. A special thanks to Dave Nugent!

I enjoyed meeting those of you who dropped by the trailer. I wanted to do more socializing, but since I tasked myself with mowing the grass around the turn 1 area a couple of times, I spent lots of effort pulling clumps of grass and other FOD out of my car's nose...

At least the car's characteristics are no longer unknown to me!

Again, it was great meeting many of you. I hope to see you (y'all) again at Viper Days!

George
